Refurbishment and reconstruction of the central existing structures and of the east ward as a complementary building. Three stations with 36 beds each and one station with 29 beds were completed with modern rooms and sanitary units. The new staff dining room on the ground floor is designed as a multi-purpose hall. On the basement level, the physical therapy area has been expanded with various massage and therapy offerings. The old "complementary building" was originally the only area for examination and treatment. During the second construction phase, all four levels have been reorganized and effectively linked with the adjacent functional areas from the first construction phase. New rooms for childbirth, sterile supply, an additional operating room, and the clinical medical service for surgery complete the offerings. Other work on the refurbishment measures included the improvement and qualification of structural fire prevention, as well as heat and sound insulation. A major solar energy system was erected on the roof of the east wing, making a major contribution to reducing the hospital's carbon footprint.
